Uncle Jim, I always remember how he'd say that the simple apostrophe was never used correctly. Uncle Jim is always on my shoulder reminding me about where and when I should place an apostrophe. I've never placed one until I thought he would think it to be correct. I've always used this approach since we had that conversation he'll always keep me right.
