Uncle Jim, I always remember how he'd say that the simple apostrophe was never used correctly. Uncle Jim is always on my shoulder reminding me about where and when I should place an apostrophe. I've never placed one until I thought he would think it to be correct. I've always used this approach since we had that conversation he'll always keep me right.

I once asked Jim if he had a favourite John Steinbeck book. He mentioned The Red Pony, a great little read about growing up - and, I suppose, about keeping the heart from hardening. I'm looking at it again now, and a line from Jody's grandfather sticks out: "I tell those old stories, but they're not what I want to tell. I only know how I want people to feel when I tell them." Jim, message received.

I loved my brother Jim so much and will forever hold him close to my heart. I am so glad I made the trip to UK last year. Jim and I had some quality time together to reminisce.
Thank you Grace and Jim for all the hospitality you have given my children and grandchildren when visiting, it has meant such a lot to me to know they were with your loving family when so far from their home land.
My deepest sympathy to you Grace and family, may you remember the good times.
Love to you all , Betty, Jim's big sister.
